During the school year we start our day off with the saying, “Today is a great day to learn something new”. I unexpectedly received this gift at my house yesterday from a 3rd grade student. Thank you, Olivia S.! You’re too kind!
The Mudlock family accepted the

We all know the start to this school year is very different. Even though students are socially distanced in our classrooms... relationships, friendships, fun and terrific academic experiences are happening. I’ve personally watched it happening over the first four student days!
Shafer’s “reverse parade” was a great success! It was emotional but great to see all of our students and thier parents for the first time since March 13th. We miss you!

It’s hard to believe that today is the last day of the 23-24 school year. After the students left, we did a little staff bonding…. With a best out of 3 staff dodgeball game! It was a fun way to end the year with people that work so hard together.
I want to wish our Shafer students and all of the students of the Nazareth Area School District the best of luck on our first day back in our buildings since 3/13. We got this!
The Shafer Spirit Walk was so much fun! A special thanks to the PTA, HS band, field hockey, football, and cheerleaders for making the morning so special! The mascots were pretty cool, too!
Last week I read the story, The Principal’s New Clothes, to Mrs. Male’s kindergarten class. Her students decided to create “new clothes” for me to go along with the story. Very cute!
I learned something new today… You shouldn’t make an announcement at a K-4 elementary school that everyone is getting a free ice cream with their lunch. Then make another announcement 5 minutes later and shout “April Fools”. We almost had a riot. 😬
I would like to thank Jay C. and Rita’s Italian Ice for donating free Italian Ice coupons for all of Shafer’s 3rd grade students to support their efforts on the PSSA’s in a few weeks.
@RitasItalianIce
