It’s really weird how I-95 has almost no signs directing to Philly northbound from DC & Baltimore & instead just to NYC but southbound you’ll see signs for Richmond before you get out of Baltimore… who decided this? Why is the second biggest city on the East Coast so ignored?

My grandma lives there & would benefit from shorter crosses between sidewalks. She doesn’t drive. She, like others this would benefit, wasn’t in attendance cuz it’s difficult for her to walk there & city/state doesn’t prioritize voices of immigrants who don’t speak English well

We got traffic moving on I-95 in just 12 days after that roadway collapsed because of a tanker truck fire.
But we didn’t stop there.

My favorite part about doing YCC is when asking for demands of administrators in charge of a certain aspect of Yale tell me they are in fact not in charge of said aspect of Yale (even tho it’s their title) and can’t do anything. Yale bureaucracy is a beautiful thing (not)!

Update: just got course reviews from students and 6 of them said it was their favorite class of the day!!!! They gave me such nice reviews too I am so happy they enjoyed the small class 🥺

And as a committeeperson, this was never shared in my ward, a ward that Dems have to win to flip the 10th council district. There’s a huge disconnect between committeepeople and the Philly Dems and the fact that an email (weekly, monthly, idk) doesn’t even go out is absurd

One of the most epic things Joe Biden could do is push for a 2024 fiscal budget that provides immense financial support to public transit agencies — SEPTA has struggled for so long that this is a reality for Philly, but no one deserves subpar public transit or transit cuts
Metro is proposing a budget that would make the transit system “unrecognizable" -- half of bus routes eliminated, 10 train stations closed, trains that stop running at 10, plus fare hikes and a freeze on wage increases and layoffs for staff.

My 7th grade English teacher had us read Maus. The imagery helped us grasp the Holocaust and the Third Reich. We saw what governments banning and burning books means. More so, I understood the persecution my family faced. Frightened how easily history repeats itself.
