The pilot had just announced we'd be landing in less than 15 minutes & put the fasten seatbelt sign on as we were coming in to land. He finished by saying, "crew, 15 minutes til landing". Immediately after, seatbelt signs lit, the crew member announced that in 15 minutes 11/

3/ The female coughing patient went in. Came out. Got in car. You are told not to drive after appts as the eye drops blur yr vision & make you photosensitive. She drove straight at the mobile unit & only just missed the staircase. Had her fear/commonsense/cognition been affected?

@1goodtern My BIL died of sepsis Dec 2020. He was isolating with Covid symptoms at the time. Everyone else in the house had the same symptoms. His death cert just says sepsis & he wasn't tested. I've always suspected Covid killed him.

Why are @UKHSA not acting? We are in the 5th year of Covid, 2+million disabled, 100,000+ kids, 230,000+ deaths in the UK. Insufficient info from them on both prevention measures & what can happen if you get infected. The post below has the info they should be sharing, but aren't.

@UKHSA When are you going to acknowledge the growing body of research showing that Covid infections cause lasting damage to our immune systems, leaving us more susceptible to other diseases like whooping cough, RSV etc. The graphics below are from Yale School of Public Health ⬇️

6/ I went in for my appointment. Small room, no ventilation & as stated already, the last 2 patients were coughing & sneezing everywhere. The screener asks if I'd like her to mask. "Yes please". Out comes a baggy blue. Of course. Give her credit, she tried.

@cv_cev @Helen_Whately I'm so bloody angry about this. It's bad enough that I'm being put at risk daily by everyone, but my brother is blind & tetraplegic & in a care home. He is a sitting duck. He can't move away from people or decide what visitors other residents have & what precautions they take.

@chantz_y I've already been told to forget Christmas this year as my family are all going to a restaurant. Christmas is bad enough in our house already after losing my FIL & BIL December 2020. Nice to know my family will be supporting me from a restaurant 20 miles away though!

@Chaela1982 Well said! I know 3 people that have had strokes now, 2 directly linked 2 Covid - one was 16 and another was 22. Both unvaxxed with no health issues, but they do now! I'd only ever known one person have a stroke in my whole life up to last yr. I wear a mask, but in minority.

BILs wedding yday = day of mask abuse from Essex boys who probably bullied kids who wore glasses at school (& still would aged 40) & hubby & I eating outdoors at filthy table V cold! Indoors it was coughs galore. Why is it now ok to ask strangers v personal health questions too?

@1goodtern "It's really important to get a vaccine if you are eligible". Then makes hardly anyone eligible & closes vaccine centres so that even those who are eligible can't access one!

@LibDemPatrick I also believe the UK are the only G7 nation not to offer the immunocompromised access to Evusheld, leaving 500k+ shielding for 3yrs to date. Both ridiculous decisions in a country with a vaccine only Covid policy. The UK Government is either dreadfully misguided or cruel.

@1goodtern This is what UK Gov says re face coverings. Because of GDPR we aren't allowed to ask if anyone is high risk, so assume there is somone in every class. You also have the Equality Act 2010 disability section to support. If yr told kids can't mask, use this

@_CatintheHat A few thoughts after reading this. 1st, £45 is a lot of money to some, especially when a family of 4 wld cost £180. 2nd, why 12+? Young kids r suffering, but it's a start. 3rd, does this mean no more free ones for high risk people? 4th, shld give remaining stock free b4 charging.

@1goodtern It must take all your strength to get over the cancer operation. Why are medical "professionals" deliberately making that 10 times harder for their patient by giving them Covid through our own lack of care? Why are they even in a caring role when they clearly don't?

@KSchnickelfritz @Saffiya_Khan1 Most English schools have been back 19days. If someone was to have 1 day off at this point, their attendance would already be below 96% (94.74%). If a kid was to have 1 day off by Xmas, their attendance wld be 98.63% (73 day autumn term). %s don't work when looking at attendance.

@annesmithmcc @BBCNews @itvnews @c4news @guardian @Independent @Metro @PrivateEyeNews @GMB @thismorning @bbc5live @BBCFergusWalsh @BBCHughPym @educationgovuk I'm a soon to be teacher of 12yrs. I've seen 2 under 25s have strokes, 2 lose eyesight in one eye, 3 bedbound for over 6 months. It's not normal & it's disgraceful no preventative action is being taken. I've never seen anything like what I'm seeing now & I can't be part of it.

@NjbBari3 I'll continue to wear my respirator anyway, even though it would cost me my career getting a criminal record. I'd rather lose my teaching career than my health/life though. I can replace my career.

@PeteUK7 I did. I left teaching in Feb. I've been very vocal about what I saw in schools & have raised issues with managers & MPs. I've been passed over for promotions & ostracised by managers for putting in my own mitigations. We were threatened that we were breaking GDPR if we spoke out

@maosbot When I flew to see family in Bangkok, I used a @SIPmask You can use them on most masks. They are great! You don't need to remove your mask to take water then.

@supertanskiii Thank you for rescheduling. Many don't & don't take any measures to stop others getting it. My brother lives in a care home for people with health issues. All are Clinically Vulnerable. One of the residents caught Covid at outpatients in Feb, gave it to everyone else. One died.

@NjbBari3 I just know that when they catch whatever their coughing colleague has, they'll be blaming the masked lady who wanted customer service 🤦🏼‍♀️ Poor messaging has let this employee & their whole family down.

@1goodtern Also strange the high number of excess deaths in diabetics, it's almost like as a group they've a much higher likelihood of poor outcomes with a certain virus beginning with C than the general public & are dying of it. Another reason not to get that virus & acquire diabetes too!

@MeetJess Isn't he T1 diabetic too? I'm T1 & just don't get others in my situation that don't take mitigation measures. Diabetes is the biggest comorbidity of those under 65 dying of Covid in the UK. Viruses play merry hell with blood sugars & lead to many other issues too!
