Today, I honor my dad Doug Stickney who taught me what true courage is at a young age.
Battling cancer from 2007 until this day in 2013, my dad was the epitome of strength and love. Time heals, but I still miss him the same 8 years later.

Shortly after losing my dad 7 years ago, my mom brought home our mini Aussie puppy George. He was the perfect companion for a family in need.
Today, George suddenly passed away from an undiscovered autoimmune disease. We’re in complete shock. You’ll be missed buddy. I love you.

7 years ago today, my dad lost his battle with cancer. I don’t really have much else to say about it nowadays other than thank you to him. He was loving and awesome and we miss him.

Since losing my dad in May of 2013, I’ve been on an empowered healing mission as I grow into the man I want to be.
Days like these still sting though. Time DOES heal, but during special days and moments, we all long for my dad. Miss you!
