Find your max power. This is one attribute off how small guys hit the ball so far. When the back elbow works like this from technique you’ll hit the furthest ball of your life. It feels like shattering a ball. Add to that a barrel path w/ no bind/pure inertia. 200lbs 500’. 1&2😎
The pause in the loading is like metronome timing. The metronome never really feels like it’s stops. During the pause the stretch reaches the point of being ready to burst..rhythm loading with a pause and body charges up. After the drills put it all together with the metronome
The rearward barrel war is over. It officially ended in 2019. I watched one major leaguer transform himself at the end of last season and looking at tv yesterday it’s really taking off. It wasn’t Cano
“My dad was my hitting coach” “my dad knew more about hitting” “without my dad I was alone” “if dunking isn’t your game you have to pass the ball but keep jumping until one day you can” “we tried so many things that didn’t work”said the greatest hitter to ever pick up a bat Barry
Same load, clamped rear hip..”showing the cleats to the pitcher” happens when with proper back hip leg action taking place. Better loading than the righty Japanese player. Sadahuru Oh left a legacy and obviously some MLB greats have been through there as well.
I’ll never forget who made fun of the Ferris wheel. They didn’t even know what it meant and we didn’t correct them. Many of those guys are working in proball now.
Ted Williams said to cock the hips and that’s exactly what he’s doing. Why would anyone teach no coil or cocked hips? The amount of coil in this move is so much stronger than any other method I’ve felt. If you took cocking the hips away from this swing he wouldn’t hit .220
Ted Williams method is the way. Those with out front in their vocabulary while learning to swing will ruin the chance of finding potential. “Cock and stride, stay back,don’t go out there to get it”…I’ve argued with so many people who have no clue what he’s saying. Listen!
Watch out for the scout who says “to small”..that’s a lazy scouting report. Acuna scouting report “to small”..did they not see a whippy bat through the ball which is uncommon. They like the big guys that bench press the ball out. Burnout rate on those are high.
For the most part we should only have one swing. Often we are so worried about speed and location we end up having 4 different swings in mind and miss when they miss. Master one launch one swing location first. The adjustment from there is tiny. Only adjustment is up
world longest drivers of the golf ball have very similar sequence spacing and timing of Bellingers legs. One of the keys r leg staying external as hip clear dwn & around as rear leg knee cap ends up over the toes and the rear leg goes internal, clamping. How small guys mash.
If you come in and hit with me ask me to show you the rhythmic “clock in” drill 1st. Along with the three ways the load is ruined. This is more important than the swing.
One hand drills:
@19boknows
how many of these have you done in your life? When things get off or guys get tired I concern myself with oblique strains, even though they don’t want to quit, we go to one hand drills. Top hand drill at the end is💰.
There was two things that held him back from his potential and they are no where to be seen. He knows exactly what he’s doing. I’ll bet money he ends up rising through the ranks of coaches just like
@JD_Hitting
. Dehart y’all need this guy..it’s a can’t miss. 👀
I did an exhaustive study on JD. He’s emphatic about loading through the heel, so much so he wants his rear toes to come of the ground. He doesn’t want to release the heel early. I notice guys who don’t load this way, load the quad and they pop up. This rear foot is on purpose
To everyone who’s ever hit in a cage with me I know you see the drill. I always say “it’s a drill but you can hit this way” I tell them it’s an exaggeration drill but it’s really not an exaggeration. Lol
Swing changes for Harper, Dansby, Mathook, Bellinger many others. MLB players are obsessed with video and getting better coaching than just 2 years ago. Hitting twitter is driving change. Believe it or not
What we see most is the leg pushing behind the barrel what we want is barrel turning behind the leg 🦵 never heard an elite player say it that clearly and point it out with video…just saying
This is the “Acuna turn” which is my favorite path, handset to install. It’s not for everyone but it’s playing well for many in proball. This pitch was 100mph. Swing depth is sick and it’s down by design
I heard
@Teacherman1986
say we need a “pull back against the move out” many of my guys still don’t do it because they are front chain dominant. You can’t, it impossible, to load the back leg without it. The muscle group used to load are the ones that will swing. Let’s find it…
Josh Donaldson started the swing revolution. He challenged the narrative of chopping down on the ball. However, Ted Williams was way ahead of him. Ted took a string from release point to strike zone which showed optimal bat path was down to slightly up. Science of plane matching
@drsimonegold
Where’s the accountability for being this wrong? Did they ever apologize or explain why they got it wrong? A lot of people trusted the Govt at one point in time. Everyone now knows medicine has become political and trust is ruined for a generation.
Key in on the MLB logo thats at the base of the neck, it must remain stable. One move, Ferris wheel, matching tilts keep it stable, getting on plane correctly frees up the entire system, especially the head. Vision, balance, smooth. If it looks bad it is.
For those that don’t know

at LSU is reserved for the Captain of the team. In a world where loyalty has faded, no one has fought through more adversity or been more loyal to the this program than Hayden. Congratulations..keep going.
One legged hitting, scapula control, looseness, butt tucked, modified grips w/ loose grip in fingers was invented by Sadaharu OH.For all the guys who fight the scapular movements and one legged hitting your behind.
Same moves OH was taught Bobby Bonds taught Barry. I got video🤫
Why are we swinging at balls in BP? Unless it’s hit and run, why swing at trash pitches? Look for something decent in BP or don’t swing. The Rep where you don’t swing ask, “did I get in a good position?” That’s better practice than swinging all over the place..that’s regressing.
One legged swing with back control. Downhill into the hold of the back. A rearward barrel never gives up the stretch. There has to be a torsion load in the rear leg. When executed correctly the thought can be get the knob past the inside of the ball. Like
@ABREG_1
talks about.
-Cut from college team..coaches told him he wasn’t good enough. This was a gift from above.
-In college Wade made mechanical improvements to go with his“battle mindset”..he views his time in the box to being at war…he finds something to hate..we’ll call it a righteous anger.
What Aaron learned was forged from a decade of debate on the baseball forums and a lot of time swinging the bat in front of a camera. I appreciate what Rich has done for baseball and for me. I’m always learning from players I work with and other excellent coaches. Ready for 2019
Big shout out to my man
@Teacherman1986
Thank you for all the hard work and dedication to transform my swing in 2017. Lets have some more fun in 2018! Can’t thank you enough, you are a career changer.

Some of the best in the MLB have learned this. Even after they are already great. The great ones before learning this are now on a Hall of fame path. That’s the difference. The drills filmed in pieces may look strange but in full swing context produce this
JD Martinez worked on his swing from time the cages opened at 10am until they closed in the evening....everyday. Perfected a “35 things into one thing”. He was working on mechanics, sequencing and using the ground. The key was good info and attitude that failure provided
