's near precision landing! Difference between the Actual & Targeted landing site is ~358m.. Hats off the ISRO Engineers who were able to achieve it despite all the obstacles on Moon! It's important to have these kind of precision landings for any future mission!

This might be Vikram lander's crash site (Lat:-70.8552 Lon:21.71233 ) & the ejecta that was thrown out of it might have landed over here
(The one on the left side was taken on July 16th & one on the right side was from Sept 17)

1. According to rumors, during transition to pre-landing orbit, impulse was given
2. Impulse exceeded 1.5 times than the expected burn
3. Most probably it might have crashed on Moon as the contact was lost and has not been regained even after 16 hrs!

South Pole region is not always well lit and the lander was in a shallow depth of 2 ms from the surface so it was not visible in Nov 11th's NASA flyby due to different angle of incidence & would be difficult for anyone to find it unless the sun is directly above the surface(3/4)

These might be 2 small craters in the Lander image! Rover which got deployed is facing South(?) But Rover has got a huge task as it needs to navigate all these craters around it and some of them are bigger than the rover(2nd image) !

Update: It seems the commands were sent to lander blindly for days & there is a distinct possibility that lander could have received commands and relayed it to the rover.. but lander was not able to communicate it back to the earth

Efforts have been made to establish communication with the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover to ascertain their wake-up condition.
As of now, no signals have been received from them.

The biggest advantage of Lagrange points are it helps us to see/communicate with another planetary body with minimal fuel for orbit maintenance. Here Aditya L1 would be revolving around L1 to observe the Sun constantly and it can also communicate with Earth! (2/5)

Absolutely LOVE looking at new impacts on planetary bodies.
This one is on the Moon, as seen by the LROC-NAC instrument, and happened in 2012.
The new crater is about 70 m across, and would definitely hurt.
