Today marks the 81st anniversary of the uprising at the German Nazi extermination camp Treblinka.
Several hundred prisoners escaped from the site of murder of between 700,000 and 900,000 Jews.
The last survivor of the uprising, Samuel Willenberg, died in Tel Aviv in 2016.

in 1944. Under the command of Gen. Maczek, it joined the Allies in the fight against Germany in the following days.
This unit managed to liberate many towns and villages in Belgium and the Netherlands.

outbreak. The heroic 🇵🇱 Home Army has fought German Nazi forces for 63 days. It is estimated that 16.000-18.000 🇵🇱 insurgents and 150.000-200.000 civilians were killed. In retaliation the city was razed to the ground.
80 years ago, on 1 August 1944, the Warsaw Rising started. In Poland, we know the price of freedom.
