Making this a consistent message of the campaign, including at the Convention, is the surest way to win states like Arizona and to push the popular vote margin so high that everyone else ignores that shameless part of the MAGA base who will still claim the election was stolen.

You are right that these were “shameful bills” that “failed spectacularly.” The shameful part is 100% on the GOP and the fact the failure was spectacular can be credited 100% to Democrats.
40% of the GOP House—and 0 Democrats—are explicitly against helping Ukraine and therefore are implicitly (explicitly in some cases) pro-Russia. 40%!! Truly amazing how quickly the 2 Parties have realigned on foreign policy.

The net cost will be much less than $450/person. American’s are getting paid to make most of the weapons & ammo we are sending. 401k’s invested in the companies also gain. And we reap significant indirect benefits—for example, by upgrading our weapon stocks.

Having worked on campaigns & events like this, this is a low-key but extremely obvious *sign* of a campaign somewhere between very disorganized & in disarray. It takes more than just 1 person & more than 1 team(not just advance team) to let a mistake like this slip through.

An increase in calls by Hamas and other militant organizations to confront Jews visiting the grounds of al-Aqsa Mosque. While Ramadan has been relatively quite, it's clear Hamas is using the upcoming Passover holiday as a pretext to launch an incitement campaign.

A discharge petition is not easy. The procedure was used successfully just two times in the last 30 years(last time in 2015, below). But it’s possible given the nature of this Bill. The burden and opportunity will be on Biden to effectively employ his bully pulpit to get it done.

The biggest difference between great & remembered leaders and failed & forgotten leaders is that the ones we remember took advantage of the opportunity to lead. McConnell, given the opportunity, chose to squander it for a gold watch and the praise of people who don’t like him.
This will be a prominent event when we look back on & read about the historic political realignment we are going through. The next Republican leader will be a MAGA Republican. The takeover is almost complete.
