I love this photo so much, I got it colorized. Pictured in this 1964 photograph are 3 competing Supersonic Transports (SST) design entries evaluated by the FAA. The FAA estimated that there would be a market for at least 500 SSTs by 1990 (spoiler: they were wrong).

YouTube, at least from my perspective, seems more focused on building a mass vlogging/social media-esque platform than a space to host truely high quality content (like Kurzgesagt). Just check out the YouTube creators website to see how truly one dimensional their vision is.

The issue isn't even about not making any money on ads. When a video is demonetized, views are suppressed and few people ever get to see it. Months of work goes into each video and that means in the past I've had to shy away from topics like the MiG-25, etc.

Back in 1949, before ICBMs, super-heavy bomber were thought to carry the huge nuclear warheads of that era to their targets. To launch them, the USS United States was imagined: an equally super-heavy aircraft carrier displacing 85,000 tons.
