In 2021 there were 9,984 horses to run in 6,531 flat races
So we’ve increased the horse population by 400 and the number of races by 2,000.

These are the front feet of a new arrival. There’s a horseman’s saying “no foot, no horse” compare the left foot with the right. Getting shoeing right is an essential part of winning.
The left is fairly normal, the right is what is referred to as “upright”. The toe is also long.

The red circle shows the subject horse’s parentage. The top line is the sire (blue box) and the bottom(pink) the dam, and in turn their parents.

These are doing single canters on the 5.5 furlong (1100m) short gallop. They canter at around 20 seconds per furlong pace (22.5mph, 36kph).
