It's been 144 days since I said goodbye to my pup and I still spent 10 minutes this morning getting dog fur off my clothes. Also, 144 days is 144 too many to go without a dog.

Just in case I get sick and/or have to leave my house unexpectedly, I’ve placed at least 8 bowls of water around my house for my pup. Today I came upstairs from doing laundry to find Bert drinking out of the toilet. I guess he’s already prepared.

The neighbor kid made friends with my dog, Bert a year or so ago. His family is moving soon. When I was out for my walk today, he asked me to tell Bert "to be a brave boy and remember the good times we had." 😭😭😭
