We are sad to announce the tragic death of Sergeant James Byrne. He died on Wednesday 12 May 2021, aged 29. He had served in 1st Battalion for twelve years. The Colonel of the Regiment, all Fusiliers and the wider Regimental family send their condolences to his family.

Army Individual Championships 2022. First Fusiliers were runners up in in a competition that displayed the highest level of Army Boxing. First Fusiliers entered 8 Fighters and 5 made the Final. We won 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze. Sgt Carling was awarded Army Coach of the year.

The Fusiliers continue to mark the significance of the D-Day landings with our annual Normandy Day on 6th June. In particular, the gallant actions of 2nd Bn The Royal Warwickshire Regiment - who landed at ‘Queen Beach’ as part of 185 Brigade - are remembered.
