I've been admitted to Nottingham City Hospital and they are keeping me in. I've only gone and poisoned myself last night.
What I thought was an onion, turned out to be a daffodil bulb.
I'm feeling a bit better now, and the doctor said I should be out sometime in the Spring ..

Just heard of the passing of Call Out Loud.
I bought him very cheaply about 5 years ago from Sir Michael Stoute's yard. He won once for me, but after I sold him to his last owners he clocked up 8 wins and over 60k in prize monies.
A gentleman and may he RIP.

My best friend passed away last Friday after suffering the effects from prostate cancer.
When he was diagnosed a couple of years ago, he made me promise to get regular checks .... which I do.

3 times in 40 years of punting I have been underpaid, but each time was immediately given the shortfall. I also returned an overpayment immediately.

I joined the police in 1965 after a brief spell in the armed forces. Graduate entrants even then were fast tracked to Sgt and Insp.
Academics maybe, practical leaders they certainly weren't. Very few braved the streets on a Saturday night.
