Day 4 quarantine: my son and I were working on spin direction and efficiency. His cue was to lead with index finger instead of allowing middle finger to dominate. After 2 throws, he ripped out 11% more efficiency and improved movement profile.

Several factors play into throwing this pitch, or any sinker, effectively...extension, spin rate and spin axis. The overwhelming majority of sinker ballers have very low extension (compared to their height), very low spin rate and axis far away from 12.
