Yes.
@IsabelOakeshott
is spot on.
I got a phone call from a private healthcare provider on behalf of the NHS today for my dads care.
I don’t care who provides the service, as long as it is to the highest possible standard and is free at the point of use.
#BBCQT
Today I have left the Labour Party. This has been one of the most agonising and heartbreaking decision of my life, but one I know I had to take. I will continue to serve the residents of Thamesmead East as an independent Councillor.
#LeavingLabour
I’ve said it today at the Durham Miners Gala so I’ll repeat it here. Attacking a woman going through chemotherapy -
@tom_watson
you are a fucking disgrace.
@JennieGenSec
I was the
@UKLabour
Candidate for Old Bexley and Sidcup in 2017. Following my resignation from Labour I’ve spoke at length to
@JBrokenshire
and have come to the conclusion that there is no one better to represent Old Bexley & Sidcup in Parliament than him.
I can get onboard with guaranteed hours and a union but it’s ludicrous to be demanding £15/hr which would be more than many emergency workers.
#McStrike
McStrike : McDonald's workers are going on strike Nov 12 to demand a new deal: £15/hr, guaranteed hours and a union.
Can you show you're with us by chipping in? Even small donations help.
Thoughts are with those hardworking guys and girls in blue who are there to protect us every day. This isn’t how you bring about change.
#Bristol
#HoldTheLine
A vote for a Labour is a vote for Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbot and John McDonnell.
Like many people in Bexley & across our country, I believe there has never been a group of people so unsuitable for high office.
Don’t legitimise Corbyn. Vote for
@JBrokenshire
.
@marksandspencer
Really disappointed you’ve removed this. Everyone knows it had nothing to do with a flag. I absolutely loved the whole concept. Christmas is what you want it to be and different for everyone.
No politician or sane person should speak from this ‘stage’. Blocking Westminster Bridge is hugely irresponsible given the vicinity to St Thomas’s Hospital.
Police should now rip up the ‘stage’ and arrest those responsible.
#ExtinctionRebelion
Protestors from Extinction Rebellion have shut down Westminster Bridge and are now building some kind of stage using power tools.
They have two vans one of which has been surrounded by police its full of wood).
Taking a moment to remember the formidable
@TessaJowell
who died a year ago today.
One of the greatest politicians of her generation. Her positivity was infectious, her warmth comforting. We will never forget our Tessa.
@Nigel_Farage
@HenryRiley1
They jeered abuse and deliberately attempted to intimidate reform representatives as we took part in the democratic process.
A positive day in Rochdale despite the politics of hate rearing its ugly head.
We’re campaigning to put Rochdale first. Always.
Proud to stand alongside my friend
@SimonDanczuk
and
@reformparty_uk
.
Together, we will change politics for good.
I have been turely moved by all your messages of support. I will reply when I can.
As I said in my letter to
@JennieGenSec
, the values that originally inspired me to join Labour will always remain with me. I have not changed; the Labour Party has.
Today I have left the Labour Party. This has been one of the most agonising and heartbreaking decision of my life, but one I know I had to take. I will continue to serve the residents of Thamesmead East as an independent Councillor.
#LeavingLabour
When I was a General Election Candidate in 2017, no one mentioned
@tom_watson
on the doorstep. They did however tell me they couldn’t vote for Labour with Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and Diane Abbot at the helm.
@DPJHodges
@darrengrimes_
Spot on. Don’t have to agree with him on everything or anything to understand this. BBC needs to either prove it or retract and apologise. (I’d also be asking for a nice wedge of money to charity too...)
Tony Blair: Jeremy Corbyn's comments that inequality & social mobility have been ignored for decades are the latest charge in what is now a mantra: that the Thatcher, Labour & current Govts are all the same.
This is bad politics & worse history. Time to set the record straight👇
Look at the replies to the original tweet. Real people, thanking New Labour for the difference they made in office.
Truly shocking to think how far our political discourse has sunk since 2010.
Tony Blair: 20 years ago the Labour Government created Sure Start centres for children & parents around the country.
@TheIFS
report shows Sure Start worked but it also shows what funding cuts - including in the most disadvantaged areas - have done to its progress

“This isn't a free and fair election if a candidate has experienced what I've experienced in this by-election”
@SimonDanczuk
speaking on the intimidation, threats and hate that targeted our campaign in Rochdale.
@reformparty_uk
@TiceRichard
So, serving members of the armed forces filmed themselves using an image of Jeremy Corbyn’s face for target practice - and there’s not a peep out of the press?
It’s not just inappropriate. It’s fascistic.
The vast majority of the British public want our parliament to enact the decision they made in May 2016. I can no longer support the destruction of our democracy.
There are too many formally decent Labour people gloating on Twitter tonight.
Whilst they gloat, can they please accept it is their inaction that has destroyed the Labour Party and almost handed the keys to 10 Downing Street to an antisemite who isn’t fit to govern?
More worrying news for the c.15,000 employees of ‘Sir’ Philip Green’s Arcadia Group. Pension pot deficit estimated at £350m. This is nothing short of criminal.

@paulmasonnews
Three parliamentary constituencies in Bexley. Three very different areas and communities. If you’ve not come to Thamesmead before, happy to show you around. The residents I represent certainly aren’t racist tories.
@SueeXassan
@DailyMailUK
I honestly hope you never need to call the police to your aid to help you. These officers run towards danger whilst we run away and you believe they deserve to be attacked? Disgusting.
As long as free ID is provided to those who don’t have it, what’s wrong with producing ID to vote?
I need ID to get into a pub, why don’t I need ID to vote?
I’ll never stop being so incredibly proud of what the last Labour Government achieved.
This is what being in power can do.
“That’s the Britain we’ve being building together, that’s the change we choose.”
@hannahvandepeer
Imagine being one of the morons replying to this tweet. I honestly worry how some of these people manage to cross the road safely at time. Keep doing what you’re doing Hannah, so pleased you’re on the mend.
@GiftCee
@PhilipRead1
I’m no fan of his but this is very disingenuous. He said let’s he wanted to get “Lara/Laura back”. That’s his young daughter who is he shielding from national press/tv.

Watching the Prime Minister fight back the tears is one of the harshest scenes I have ever seen from our political leaders. Whatever you think about her and her policies; laughing at someone’s display of emotion is just plain nasty.
Imagine being so deluded that you call the last Lab Govt a Tory one...

As time has gone on it has become clear that the only credible solution to the Brexit crisis is to leave the European Union on 31st October. With or without a deal.
Great to catch-up with

tonight. Mike and the

Lots of negative tweets coming my way tonight. I’m not bothered.

Seriously, say it louder for those at the back.
Those at the top of the Labour Party have disregarded the achievements of New Labour since 2010. It was another reason why I could no longer sit as a Labour Councillor. They just don't get it.
