I don't think DI ball is all about this. I think it is about marketing a school, attracting students and creating value.
But I also think that when DI ball is at it's best, it creates value and does this. Tony Shaver did that.
I met Coach Shaver in the spring of 2004. I was being recruited by D3 schools but I was interested in attending W&M. He took time out of that day to meet me and my mom, give us a tour of the basketball facilities, and let us eat with the coaching staff. 1/
