A special recognition for Ms. Ashley Pesce who is one of our tremendous paraprofessionals. She successfully performed the Heimlich Maneuver on a student who was choking this week. Thank you Ms. Pesce for helping the student in distress. We truly have heroes on our staff at CPS!

Emergency School Food Program
Chelsea Public Schools will be closed until Monday, March 30th, if not longer. While the schools are closed, free lunch and breakfast will be provided on week days to youth at seven different locations.

Over 200 students attended the first day of Freshman Orientation at CHS this morning! Students began the day in the Auditorium, learned the classes they will take at CHS, and participated in a Field Day! Orientation will continue tomorrow and Wednesday at CHS.
(3/4) This decision has been made in consultation with the City of Chelsea. We believe this action is in the best interest of our students, staff and the Chelsea community in order to combat the pandemic Coronavirus. The closure of schools will last at least two weeks.

(1/2) Today, nearly 200 students, parents, and staff from our 4 elementary schools raced in the Girls on the Run 5K race at Suffolk Downs in Boston. These students have been participating in a Girls on the Run after school program at the Elementary Complex this school year.
The CPS 2022 Convocation occurred this morning as our schools welcomed back teachers and all staff ahead of the 2022-23 school year! CPS staff members posed outside City Hall wearing shirts that symbolized the new school year.
