20 years in the musical trenches. Ghettocracy is a true depiction of a life well lived and a career well curated. Congratulations
@winkydonline
for 20 years in the industry.
The inclusion of some younger artists on

is symbolism of the Gaffa handing the baton to a new generation of artists. I hope these young ones are ready for the responsibility that comes with the baton.

Voter registration is non partisan. It’s my birth right as a Zimbabwean. I should not be a struggling musician if we had a functioning music industry.
This picture speaks a million words. A big brother imparting wisdom. I guess the lyrics of “High Grade” speak of
@winkydonline
perfectionism and his wish for the youngers to achieve excellence despite of the socio-economic challenges.

@Wamagaisa
widow give a eulogy today I felt it. Great public figures often don’t know how to strike a balance between civic duty and personal life. He was loved by all because he truly was a great man. RIP
Madrug awareness campaign aya is a waste of time. We all are aware of the drug pandemic. We need prevention strategies and meaningful activities. Waking up in Zimbabwe sober as a youth is painful. Urgent instillation of hope is required
Twitter family I hope on your list of errands today you don’t forget to check the voters roll to ensure everything is in order especially if you are

I learnt in the last year is that I have a responsibility to comment on issues that affect me as an artist. As artists we need to occupy the commentary space regularly until it’s normal. If we don’t engage in discussions around our craft ndipo panouya mbinga dzakasheka kuzoba
Collaborations- when you think of a collaboration you think of genre, fit and relationship.
1-Genre -Are our genres relatable? Is there a crossover between our fanbases?
2 Fit-will our vocals and styles flow?
3 Relationships- pre existing relationships make working together
I just finished working on a traditional music EP. I met some artists within the circuit who understand the genre so well. It’s a shame some of them are not getting the right spotlight to showcase our indigenous music
Moral of the story. Ramba wakadzvanya. Kutowedzera. Life needs tenacity kutochama
If you had one thing you would tell your younger self what would it be?
How are you? How have you been? I have been busy writing, arranging and collaborating on my 7th album. I have even thrown in a traditional EP for good measure. My acoustic guitar has been a faithful companion through the process. Ndadzoka ❤️❤️
Good morning twitter fam. Twitter has its own language. So far I have learnt two important words -Ratioed and bodied. Can you please teach me some more ndifambirane nevamwe 🙏🏿

Ana Kudzi went to school when there was government grants to study. They learnt all the English so that they can cross the Limpopo for a better life.Come back and exercise your patriotic duty and give back to community that paid for your education. Come and teach in zim
Zimbabwe could easily be the single biggest exporter of resilience. The amount of resilience we have as Zimbabweans is astounding. I hope chete we are not desensitised. Good morning
@W3Zhira
It’s not an option Wezhira. Trading my silence for success is never an option. I am not a politician just a citizen asking my followers to register to vote. How can that damage my brand? We know better let’s do better.
On Sunday at 11am CAT I will be dropping my fourth thread entitled “body image a personal journey “ do you think celebrities have a social responsibility to promote body positivity?
@ShadayaKnight
your views are problematic because they come from a place of societal male privilege. I know you don’t buy into the extreme views you say, the issue is the influence you have on your followers.
@GondaiMutongi
My message is none partisan. I only said register to vote. People can vote for whoever they want. Side note bonde bhoo zvekuti you should try it all this tension inopera 😎
I think as part of our education curriculum children should learn to play at least one instrument. Recently I have been learning to play mbira from
@DzivaRembira
the experience is very enriching
If they want to put you on they will invest in your craft -now that is giving you independence. These little “gifts” that they give you are to keep you around and use you. Changamuka
I never thought in my lifetime I would achieve all that I am achieving. I am grateful for a responsive following, effective management and above all God..
To make sound solid business decisions artists should not appoint their super fans and their friends as managers.Unenge uchinzi wakaipa uchitopinda mudondo. It’s your career take it seriously.
I got my first Job yekuveza mubhedha (carpenter) I lasted a week and then I was accused of stealing bolts ( mabhaudhi)
…I can neither deny or confirm that I stole mabhaudhi but they definitely went missing 🤔
One of my biggest revenue streams is live shows. It is also my opportunity to get real-time feedback on current and future projects. In this current economic climate, there is a very heartbreaking trend where fans will come to shows and stand outside. Purely because they can’t

So when I arrived at Mbare Musika I sold my beans and headed for Glenview.
I was housed by a kind pastor and naturally I became a Christian in exchange for accommodation 🙏🏿 😇
Thank you very much Twimbos. Through your retweets and healthy conversation here- I have engaged a lawyer. As artists our catalogues are our legacy. And this fight is not about royalties but for my work.
Prior to my arrival in the city I tried to be Baba Gauteng but I got arrested in SA and was deported back to Harare with a bucket full of beans.
Don’t ask my why they gave me beans 😭
