I stopped drinking alcohol 1 year ago today. I loved drinking. I'd loved it for more than 40 years, but there came a time when the enjoyment had gone, and every drink made me feel unwell. Now, I drink copious amounts of coffee and apple juice and worry less. It's been a good year

We're just back from the vet.
Evie continues to improve. She was 0.25kg heavier, and her temp was 39.0°. She's now at her pre illness weight, and her temp is 0.6° lower than 2 wks ago. She will stay on steroids at a reduced dose, and we go back in 2 weeks. We're so relieved. 🐈⬛️

Just here to thank everyone for their kind, thoughtful messages. Julie's migraine and conjunctivitis are lingering, and her cold has turned into the flu. On her insistence, we have reverted to lockdown hygiene rules to make sure I stay well. Take care. 🕊☮️

Evie was ill again in the early hours. We've just left her at the vets. They'll put her on an IV and do an ultrasound to try to identify what's happening to her. No matter how many pets you have and think you've seen everything, their illnesses still hit like a hammer.

We're back from the vet and finally have a definitive diagnosis.
After ruling out a list of problems, we now know Evie has ulcerative ileitis. A few strict dietary changes, and she'll be fine. The little one is glad to be home and is thankfully much brighter and noisier. ❤️🐈⬛️

We're just back from the vet. After 5 months, I think we're nearing the end of our regular visits. Evie's temperature is steady at 39.2° and she has put on some weight at 4.75kg. We'll keep her on a small dose of steroids and go back in a months time for a weight check.
