We say goodbye after 5 years working with our Airedale family, and 37 years with the NHS.

Check out the new "Butterfly Tea Rooms" just installed on ward 6! A social space for patients to aid recovery. Familiar things such as the tea room setting and the red phone box especially help older confused patients or those with dementia to feel at home.

Yorkshire will be receiving two of the first 10 'one-stop shops' for diagnosing cancer - where patients with more vague symptoms can have several different tests at once for different forms of the disease. Find out more here →

Our Nightingales Nursery children did their

at 2:30pm today. Children and staff put their heart and soul into creating banners, flags and love hearts. The children wore rainbow hats and banged pans to make a HUGE noise!

Another fantastic week in our
#COVIDVaccination
centre last week. We have now given over 3250 vaccines to health and social care staff in two weeks, which is fantastic! Enormous thanks to everyone involved and everyone who has had their jab 🙂

Today our wonderful colleague Mary Stronach retires after a stellar 50 years service in the NHS. Mary started work at Airedale in 1970 she was 15 as a ward hostess serving tea and coffee & then became a midwife on our Labour ward.
