Thanks to the “Buster bump.” … I’m really exited that Buster Olney is actually speaking to my Hofstra sports PR class this upcoming semester. Also aiming for a current MLBer/ex-Met as a guest speaker, but it’s really ambitious, so we’ll see.

Hard to answer that. I really like the PR side … and particularly where I am. And most media companies aren’t overly financially healthy and interested in hiring someone with my experience. Plus, let’s face it, it’s been eight years or so now. Time flies.

2004 was a crazy year with the Mets. Lenny Dykstra was an unofficial special assistant and plans were in place to make Larry Bowa the bench coach for Art Howe for 2025 (even though Bowa was still managing the Phillies). Then Art got fired — which proved a debacle in itself.
