This literally just proves the 'shonen fan' jokes right
I'm seeing a lot of people defend Subaru, and if he develops that's good and all, but my problem is with the fact that the writer makes sure that no matter what happens, Subaru will never be able to fight. His magic will break, he'll never learn how to use a weapon.

I find it interesting how this aspect of her contrasts with Subaru heavily, since Subaru is someone who would break a promise if doing so had merit from his perspective where for Emilia they are absolute.
Something that I've genuinely really liked about Emilia, which is something I also care deeply about, is the importance of promises and lies.
